According to a report published in the local Arabic daily Arrayah, a man has been handed a one year’s suspended jail term by a Doha Criminal Court for attacking a security guard of an educational institute.
The honourable court also imposed a fine of QR10, 000 on the man.
According to the case-file, the defendant attempted to enter the compound of the educational institute without a valid permit and as such the guard refused to let him in.
Following which the defendant lost his temper and started to attack the guard with a knife. Fortunately, the guard and a colleague of his were able to overpower him and hand him over to the security department.
