In a shocking incident that has come to light, Karwa taxi driver was spotted driving his cab on the path meant for the pedestrians along the Doha Corniche as bystanders and passers-by watched with surprise and bewilderment.
Images of the cab spread on social media like wild fire, with people expressing shock and surprise over the incident. However, the reason as to why the cabbie did that in the first place remains unclear.
An investigation into the matter was swiftly announced by the state transportation company as soon as news of the incident reached them.
The erring driver has reportedly been terminated from his job following initial investigations.
Mowasalat issued a statement yesterday, saying, “Necessary action was taken and the driver was terminated on Tuesday”
