Qatar visitors to the UK surge by 33%

The last financial year has seen an unprecedented surge in the number of visitors from Qatar to the UK. From April 2013 to March 2014, approximately 61,000 visitors from Qatar travelled to the UK, representing a remarkable year-on-year growth of 33%.
Gulf Times spoke to Annique Labuschagne, Gulf Manager for VisitBritain, the UK’s national tourism agency, to learn more about the factors behind the growing visitor numbers.
