Sjöström breaks world record in Doha
Sarah Sjöström competes in the Women’s 100m Butterfly semi-final during the 12th FINA World Swimming Championships in Doha on Saturday, December 6th 2014.
Sweden’s Sarah Sjöström dominated the women’s 100 fly with a world-record win at the FINA World Short Course Championships in Doha.
Sjöström finished in an impressive 54.61, half a second faster than the number two, China’s Lu Ying.
“It’s pretty awesome, actually. Apparently I can swim that fast. It feels incredible. I was surprised when I saw the time,” Sjöström told Swedish Television.
