THIS HOTEL takes waking up under the stars to a whole new meaning — as it comes without walls and a roof.

The open-air Null Stern hotel ‘room’ in the Swiss Alps provides adventurers with just a cosy queen-sized bed, two lamps and spectacular views of the Graubünden surroundings, The Sun reports.

For the price of 250 Swiss francs per night ($A329), guests can seclude themselves in the mountains, 6,463 feet above sea level.

Guests can get room service from their own personal butler, who stays in a nearby cabin and is at your beck and call.

The butler can prepare the ultimate dining experience and serve guests with breakfast and dinner in bed.

A trip to the bathroom could be a chilly dash, however, as the nearest public facilities are 10 minutes away.

Guests are warned that although the hotel is available throughout spring and autumn, bookings can be cancelled last minute if bad weather occurs.

Demand for the unique accommodation is high, as Null Stern is booked until the end of 2017.

In order to cater to the volume of booking requests, the team is working with tourist agencies to create more of the outdoor beds in another popular area of Switzerland.

The concept was born in 2008 and launched in July 2016, with its name translating from German to mean “zero stars”.

Speaking to Business Insider, the hotel’s co-founder, Daniel Charbonnier, explained: “The star is not the hotel but each guest.

“We got rid of all the walls, and the only thing left is you and your experience.”
