Dr. Majid bin Muhammad Al-Ansari, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced the completion of the reunification of the first batch of Palestinian prisoners and released Israeli detainees with their families, in implementation of the humanitarian truce agreement in Gaza reached by Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” with the mediation of the State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt. And the United States of America.

Dr. Al-Ansari confirmed, in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), that the first 39 Palestinian women and children had been released from Israeli prisons and reunited with their families.

He added: The first 13 hostages, all of them women and children, were reunited with their families in Israel, explaining that the International Committee of the Red Cross supervised their safe exit from Gaza as part of the implementation of the armistice agreement.

Dr. Al-Ansari explained that mediation efforts also resulted in the release of 10 Thai citizens and a Filipino citizen who were handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross, outside the humanitarian truce agreement.

The official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed, in his statement, that the humanitarian aid trucks, which were scheduled to enter Gaza, were able to cross the border to deliver vital supplies and aid to the Palestinian brothers besieged in the Strip.

Dr. Al-Ansari said: The State of Qatar maintained direct lines of communication with both parties to the agreement and the International Committee of the Red Cross throughout the prisoner exchange process.

He also stressed that the State of Qatar continues to closely monitor the situation, and facilitates the exchange of information between the two parties and the Red Cross on time to ensure that any issues that may occur are addressed immediately.

He added: The State of Qatar remains in close contact with its regional and international partners to ensure the full implementation of the armistice agreement.

At the end of his statement to QNA, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Qatar’s thanks to the two parties for their cooperation so far, which made the first phase of the prisoner exchange a success. He also expressed the State of Qatar’s hope that the next few days will witness the culmination of the ongoing efforts by extending the truce. Reaching a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
