Tamper-proof meters now in all Karwa taxis
Mowasalat’s entire fleet of sea-green taxis in Qatar are now equipped with new electronic meters that cannot be altered, Qatar Tribune reports.
The move has been in the works for a year and comes after complaints from customers about being over-charged by Karwa drivers. If the meter is not switched on, the ride is free, the company reiterated.
