Terrorist-accused Swede kept in British custody

The man was travelling from Copenhagen in Denmark, to Manila, in the Phillippines.
A Swedish national charged in Britain with terrorist offences has been ordered kept in custody by a British court, the newspaper Blekinge Läns Tidning reports.

The 36 year old was detained at Heathrow airport in September, in transit between Copenhagen and Manila . According to the British newspaper The Guardian he faces three counts, including attending a place used for terrorist training and receiving training in firearms for use in terrorism.

According to Peder Hyllengren of the Swedish Defence College, the man is well-known on social media for taking part in the fighting in Syria.
