Al Khor and Al Thakira Municipality, in co-operation with the Mechanical Equipment Department and the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), has carried out a campaign to remove encroachments from State properties. During the drive in the Laffan region, buildings without a license were demolished for violating provisions of Law No 10 of 1987 regarding public and private State property and its amendments, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment said. The municipality has urged citizens and residents to approach the competent authorities to obtain the necessary approvals and licenses for constructing buildings in accordance with the relevant conditions and specifications. Also, they can call 184 if they have any inquiries or complaints.
