Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum hosts Italian delegation
Doha, Qatar – 14 March 2016: Sheikh Mohammed Bin Faisal Al Thani, President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Qatar recently hosted a gala dinner in honour of the Italian Minister of Economic Development, Federica Guidi at Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum. She led a business delegation headed by Mr. Amedeo Teti, General Director, Ministry of Economic Development of Italy and HE Qatar’s Ambassador to Italy Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Maliki Al Jehani to Doha. The delegation also included over a hundred representatives of some of the most important Italian companies based in Qatar.
Welcoming the delegation H.E. Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Chairman of Al Faisal Holding said:“Italy is one of the economic powerhouses in Europe – be it industrial, agricultural, economic or the hospitality sector. The country maintains an annual development rate that has been increasing steadily, thereby elevating it as a promising business environment for foreign investors.”
Commenting on the visit and the potential of conducting business in Italy, Sheikh Mohammad bin Faisal Al Thani said: “It is a great honour to host such a remarkable delegation from Italy. The historic economic cooperation between Qatar and Italy serves as a strong foundation for our two countries to strengthen ties in areas of mutual interest. Qatar is keen to leverage the vast investment prospects to create lucrative economic, commercial and investment partnerships.”
“Italy fits perfectly with the objectives of Qatar in expanding investment and paves the way for establishing a broad base of rewarding investment opportunities between the two countries. The visit of the Italian delegation will further enhance communication regarding investment, trade and culture,” added Sheikh Mohammad bin Faisal Al Thani President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Qatar.
While visiting Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum, the delegation was given a guided tour of the museum’s exhibits comprising numerous unique and astonishing artefacts across three main themes: Qatar heritage, Islamic art and classic cars. There is also a special section for coins & currency.
“It’s been fascinating to learn the history of Qatar, and be a part of the guided tour provided by Sheikh Faisal and Sheikh Mohammed. The museum is a true reflection of the interest of the Qatari people and their national heritage as well as cultural identity,” the Italian delegation said.
Further, the delegation indicated their appreciation to the strategic vision of HH the Emir in leading Qatar to become an emerging economy.
