China called US sanctions on its entities over the Ukraine war āillegal and unilateralā and ānot based on factsā, in comments on Tuesday ahead of White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivanās arrival in Beijing for days of high-level talks.

Washington has repeatedly warned Beijing over its support for Russiaās defence industrial base and has already issued hundreds of sanctions aimed at curbing Moscowās ability to exploit certain technologies for military purposes.
