During his second stop on his regional tour, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed from Kuwait that “Iran will respond appropriately in the event of any aggression by the Zionist entity,” calling for “a halt to Israeli attacks” in Lebanon and Gaza.

He said: “We did our best to de-escalate, but we are ready for all scenarios and to confront them.”

He believed that “the possibility of the war expanding to become a comprehensive war throughout the region is likely.”

He added: “If the Zionist aggression continues its attacks, we will respond. The Israeli entity seeks to expand the war in the region, and we must confront this disaster.”

He pointed out that “the conditions in Gaza and Lebanon are catastrophic, and the Israeli attacks must stop,” stressing that “Iran will strongly continue its policy of good neighborliness.”
