Al Shamal Municipality’s general control section has carried out a campaign to remove abandoned vehicles and equipment in co-operation with the public services department and the security authorities concerned.
Seventeen abandoned vehicles and equipment were removed over two consecutive days of the campaign, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment said in a statement.
In addition, 143 abandoned vehicles were removed by their owners after the municipality had pasted warning stickers on such vehicles a few days earlier, the statement noted.
