Abu Dhabi murder: ‘Monster was lying in wait’

The ex-husband of an American woman fatally stabbed in an Abu Dhabi shopping mall says he is grateful that United Arab Emirates authorities quickly arrested the suspected “monster” who killed his wife and says he feels safe there.
Kindergarten teacher Ibolya Ryan, 47, was found stabbed to death Dec. 1 in a bloody bathroom in the high-end Reem Island mall. Police detained a suspect Thursday, a woman they say hours later attempted to plant a bomb near the home of an American physician. The bomb was dismantled without incident.
