Upholding the directive of the Emir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) has officially announced that all the National Day festivities which were planned by AZF have been cancelled in solidarity with the people of the battered Syrian City of Aleppo.

As part of the Aspire Zone Foundation’s (AZF) National Day celebrations the foundation had planned the country’s biggest skydiving performance. Qatar Army’s Parachute and Paramotor team was scheduled to be main performer of the skydiving stunts in the event.

In addition to the Qatar Army Parachute and Paramotor team, a team from the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) were also scheduled to participate in the event.

Parallel to all these events, the AZF is also launching an Instagram completion from December 14-19, the aim of which will be to select the best National Day picture taken at the AZF events and facilities, the photos must be accompanied with the hashtag #AspireND2016.

The photo with the most number of likes will be declared as the winner and receiver awards worth up to QR100, 000.

AZF has now decided that all the income that will generated up to Saturday by the Aspire Zone restaurants will be donated to Qatar Charity’s Aleppo aid and the QR100, 000 prize money which was slotted for the ‘Best National Day Instagram Picture’ competition will also be donated to Aleppo aid.
