Doha, April 20 – Qatar Museums started on Wednesday the first exclusive tours for Qatari citizens in the new National Museum of Qatar, ahead of its eagerly awaited opening by members of the Qatari society.
The new Qatar National Museum received this afternoon the first group which includes 20 citizens, mostly bloggers who were led by their curiosity to visit the museum and share its latest developments with community members through their blogs.

The QMA’s invitation to visit the new museum, launched two weeks ago through social networking sites, was well received among citizens, leading 500 people from citizens and college students to register to participate in these tours.

Participants were divided into groups of different categories. The tours will continue over the coming weeks until May according to a flexible schedule in order to provide participants with an exclusive opportunity to visit the museum and explore the exterior and interior design made by Jean Nouvel and inspired by the desert rose.
