THE crew of Fath Al Khair 4 will arrive at Hamad International Airport on Friday, September 27, after finishing the first phase of its cruise, which started from the Bosphorus Strait in Turkey and travelled to various coasts in Europe. The aim was to introduce the Qatari heritage and promote the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
A reception will be held at the airport at 3pm on arrival of the crew.
Earlier on Tuesday, Fath Al-Khair 4 arrived at Sliema on the east coast of the Mediterranean island of Malta at 4pm. It was followed by a ceremony attended by the General Manager of the Cultural Village ‘Katara’ Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al Sulaiti along with officials, ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps in Malta.
On the occasion, Captain Yousef Mohammed Al Sada expressed his happiness at the conclusion of the first phase of the voyage, noting that the voyage has been largely successful in achieving its mission.
He added that the second phase will start in June, 2020, and include seaports in France and Spain, while the third and final phase of the trip will start in 2021 and cover Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.
