FONTANA, Calif. (FOX 11) – A Fontana couple is behind bars accused of possessing and distributing child pornography.
The couple, identified as Robert and Vicki Byrom, was arrested on Tuesday after police served a search warrant at their home and confiscated the couple’s electronic devices.
Authorities discovered over 2,000 images containing child porn, many depicting prepubescent children in sexually sadistic situations, during a forensic review of the couple’s electronic devices, the Fontana Police Department said.
The investigation began when detectives from the Internet Crimes Against Children task force received cyber tips that the couple had uploaded multiple images to the internet containing child pornography, according to police.
Due to the graphic nature of the child pornography in possession, detectives obtained a bail enhancement. Robert and Vicki Byrom are being held on $500,000 bail each.
