Colombo (News First); The Department of Electricity and Energy said a ship carrying 40,000 tonnes of gasoline will arrive in the country today (19). The ministry said payments were made for the relevant vessels.

According to the Ministry of Power, more than 100,000 people are registered in the national fuel pass, and new fuel stock will not be distributed until registration is completed.

Meanwhile, yesterday, gas stations across the island reported a lot of tension (18).

Yesterday, a severe situation occurred at the Mahignangana Yalanka IOC gas station (18).

Police spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said police fired in the air to control the situation.
