These steps will make relation between employees and employers more transparent.

The online service will also save time and effort of employees who used to go in person to the labor department or seek help of their company representatives to get a copy of their job contract when they needed it.

The procedure for obtaining a copy of job contract is easy and is available both in Arabic and English.

The ministry posted the link for the same on its Twitter account recently. The employees can access their contract at http://empcont.adlsa.gov.qa/ in both Arabic and English. You can switch between Arabic and English using the button on top of the webpage.

The employee seeking a copy of his/her job contact is required to access the link.

Enter the personal number or visa number of the applicant. Enter the mobile number (mobile number must be in the name of the applicant). A confirmation number will be sent to the mobile number of the transaction holder. Enter the code you received on your mobile and it will allow you to see the contract or download it.

While testing the system The Peninsula found that the job contract copy was scanned and entered in the database of the system.

For some people there was no information available as the contracts were shown not available. This could be becasue the new contract is not updated by the company or not submitted to the ministry yet.

According to experts, job contracts are being used for many purposes including sending online notifications from employees to employers to quit their job or for a job change as per the online notification rules available at the website of the Ministry.
