His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the country, received in his office at Lusail Palace yesterday evening, His Excellency Alexander De Croo, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium. During the interview, bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to strengthen and develop them in various areas of cooperation were discussed, in addition to regional and international issues of common interest, especially developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Head of the Amiri Diwan, and a number of senior officials. On the Belgian side, it was attended by His Excellency Mr. Peter Moors, Head of the Prime Minister’s Office, His Excellency Mr. Iskandar Nasra, Advisor to the Prime Minister, and a number of senior officials, members of the accompanying official delegation.
In a related context, His Excellency Alexander De Croo, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium, confirmed that, during his reception yesterday, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the country, he appreciated the efforts made by the State of Qatar in the negotiations related to the ceasefire and the release of hostages in the Gaza Strip.
