His Highness receives the Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received, in his office at the Amiri Diwan this morning, HE Speaker of the House of Representatives of the sisterly Libya Aqila Saleh, and the accompanying delegation, on the occasion of his visit to the country.
At the beginning of the interview, the Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives briefed His Highness the Emir on the latest developments in the situation in Libya, expressing at the same time his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Emir of Qatar for the continuous and permanent support of the State of Libya and its people, according to the Emiri Diwan.
For his part, HH the Emir reiterated Qatar’s stance towards the brotherly Libyan people, supporting their options and achieving their aspirations for development and prosperity for the sake of Libya’s unity and stability.
During the meeting, aspects of developing and strengthening cooperation between the two countries were discussed, and the current developments in Libya were discussed, in addition to a number of regional and international issues.
The meeting was attended by HE Mr. Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Shura Council.
