His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and his brother, His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, discussed the most prominent regional and international developments of common interest, especially developments in the situation in the Palestinian territories.
During the meeting held at Lusail Palace yesterday evening, consultations and views were exchanged on advancing regional and international diplomatic efforts to demand an immediate ceasefire and the protection of civilians in Gaza, and to work hard to achieve a just and comprehensive peace for the Palestinian issue In a radical and final manner, to ensure security and stability in the region.
In this regard, His Highness stressed the firm position of the State of Qatar on the Palestinian issue and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, especially their right to establish an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, on the basis of the two-state solution, and its condemnation of all violations of the Palestinian people, their lands, and their sanctities that undermine access to A fair solution to the issue.
For his part, His Majesty the King of Jordan expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Prince for his continued support for the Palestinian cause and just Arab causes.
Ways to strengthen fraternal ties and cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields were also discussed, in order to achieve the common aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.
On this occasion, His Highness the Prince held a dinner in honor of His Majesty the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, Minister of Interior, His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Head of the Amiri Diwan, His Excellency Mr. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Khulaifi, Head of the State Security Service, and a number of senior officials.
On the Jordanian side, it was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince of Jordan, His Excellency Dr. Bishr Hani Al-Khasawneh, Prime Minister, His Excellency Mr. Ayman Al-Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, and a number of Their Excellencies members of the accompanying delegation.

Also at the reception were His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, Minister of the Interior, His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, Head of the Emiri Diwan, His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and His Excellency Mr. Zaid Mufleh Al Lawzi, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Country.
His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, King of the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, left Doha yesterday after a working visit to the country.
His Majesty was bid farewell upon his departure from Doha International Airport by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of Interior, and His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. His Excellency Mr. Zaid Mufleh Al-Lawzi, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the country.
His Majesty the King of Jordan was accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince of Jordan, His Excellency Dr. Bishr Hani Al-Khasawneh, Prime Minister, and a number of Their Excellencies ministers and senior officials.
