Kharaitiyat Claim Big Scalp with Win over Qatar SC
Doha, March 20 (QNA) – Qatar Sports Club welcomed Al Kharaitiyat to the Suhaim bin Hamad stadium for the late kick off in the round 23 Qatar Stars League clash.
Qatar SC has had some of the best form in the second part of the season and were the clear favorites going into tonight’s match. Things went according to script for the home side, as Qatar went into the lead just 15 minutes into the game as second top goal scorer Hamdi Harboui headed bravely past the on-rushing keeper.
Yousef Mohammed Al Kubaisi scored for the Kings late on (89’) but it was too little too late as they lost their chance to close the gap on Al Sadd who are in second place. Kharaitiyat continue their revival and move up into 8th place on 30 points. (QNA)
