North Korea’s Kim Jong Un to visit Russia, South Korea says

Russia has confirmed North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will visit Moscow, South Korea’s Yonhap news agency says. Kim is to attend events marking the Soviet victory over Germany in World War II.

Kim Jong Un is to make his first foreign visit since taking power in 2011, traveling to Russia in May to attend war anniversary events, South Korea’s Yonhap news agency reported on Wednesday.

“About 20 state leaders have confirmed their attendance, and the North Korean leader is among them,” Yonhap quoted a Kremlin spokesman as saying.
