Lekhwiya draw Al Hilal
Doha – Qatar Stars League champions were drawn against last year’s runners-up Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia in the AFC Champions League 2015 quarter-finals at the draw ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.
Lekhwiya are aiming to reach the semi-final stage for the first time. The Michael Luadrup tutored side knocked out rivals and 2011 ACL champions Al Sadd 4-3 on aggregate.
Al Hilal are gunning to make a return to the final having succumbed to Australian debutants Western Sydney Wanderers 1-0 on aggregate in the 2014 ACL final.
