Lekhwiya Wins Double, Beats Al Jaish in Cup Final
Doha, May 01 (QNA) – Lekhwiya won Friday Qatar Cup for the first time in their history after defeating Al Jaish 1-0 at Abdullah bin Khalifa stadium.
The final was a replay of last season which Al Jaish won. This year, Sebastian Sorya scored the title-winning goal with 11 minutes remaining. HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani handed the winners their trophy and their medals. HE President of the Qatar Football Association Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani handed Al Jaish players the silver medals.
