The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs (MADLSA), stressed that women who wish to work in Qatar must obtain a work permit whilst under their spouses’ sponsorship. Applications must be submitted through MADLSA for the relevant licenses, via Hukoomi Portal.
All the required documents must be attached to the application along with a copy of the employment contract, the current sponsor’s personal information and the establishment ID. In addition, an acknowledgment shall also be submitted to declare that all information provided by the female applicant is valid, and the application can be submitted through the Recruitment Department at MADLSA.
In general, the process to attain residence and work permits in the State of Qatar has become easier, especially after recent amendments to the Labor Law.
