Meteorology department warns of expected thundery rain and high sea

Doha, Weather inshore until 6 p.m. on Saturday will be relatively hot daytime with slight dust and scattered clouds with weak chance of rain at places, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report.

Offshore, it will be slight dusty and partly cloudy to cloudy at times with chance of scattered rain at places, maybe thundery at times, the report added, warning of expected thundery rains at places associated with strong wind and high sea.

Wind inshore will be southeasterly to southwesterly 07 to 15 knot, reaching 18 knot at times. Offshore, it will be southwesterly to southeasterly 06 to 16 knot, reaching 22 knot at places during thundery rain.

Visibility will be 04 to 09 kilometer.

Sea state inshore will be 1 to 2 feet, rises to 3 feet at places at times, while offshore it will be 2 to 5 feet, rises to 7 feet at places during thundery rain.
