Riyadh — The Muslim World League (MWL) welcomed the outcome of the Saudi Arabia-sponsored Jeddah Summit for Security and Development, with the participation of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, and the United States.

Dr. Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdul Karim Alyssa, MWL Secretary-General and President of the Association of Muslim Scholars, praised the results of the summit focused on partnerships to promote peace and prosperity in the region.

Dr. Alyssa congratulated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the successful Jeddah Summit for security and development, and praised the wise efforts of King Salman and the Crown Prince, the guardians of the two St. Mosques. He emphasized that this great success reaffirms the status of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the regional and international arena and its worthy leading role in achieving regional and global peace and prosperity. —SPA
