DOHA: A group of Ooredoo volunteers surprised families at Mohammed Bin Abdulwahab Mosque during the weekend by distributing Iftar boxes at the Ramadan cannon site.
The initiative, which is part of the company’s #RamadanWithOoredoo CSR activities, saw people break fast and enjoy the sunset together, after hearing the Ramadan cannon.
Manar Khalifa Al Muraikhi, Ooredoo Director of PR and Corporate Communications, said: “The firing of the ‘Midfa Al Iftar’ (Ramadan Cannon) is a very old tradition in Qatar and we’re delighted to inspire more people to go along with their family and friends, and be part of the community spirit of the holy month.”
