Qatar Foundation Organises University Football 2015/2016
The 2015/2016 University League is set to start today 22 October at Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development’s (QF) Recreation Centre, Pitch 1.
The first match, which will kick off the league this year, will be between Qatar Aeronautical College and Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar at 6pm.
The second match will be between the champions of the last two editions, Qatar University and Northwestern University in Qatar at 7 pm.
In its third edition, the University League is part of an on-going collaboration between Qatar Football Association (QFA) and QF, which started in 2013.
The league this year will be held from 22nd October until 4th February where nine colleges and universities across Qatar will battle it out on the field to win cash prizes, medals, and special awards.
A total of 20 matches will be played, with matches held every Thursday with one break between the end of November and mid-January.
