Oscar launches ‘affordable’ eco-friendly inverter AC

Oscar, a leading Qatari electronics and appliances brand, has launched its new range of inverter air-conditioners in Qatar.
These new inverter air-conditioners with the eco-friendly R410A gas are available in 1.5- and 2-tonne capacities and boast of features such as quick cool, noiseless cooling and efficient energy management, according to a press statement.
The Oscar range of products are available at all Jumbo Electronics showrooms, leading hypermarkets and retailers, and can also be shopped online at jumbosouq.com.
“The new Oscar inverter ACs are equipped with motors with variable speed that enable them to operate at either full or minimum speed based on the requirement. Inbuilt sensors adjusts the power input for the motor based on the temperature in the room. So, if the temperature in the room is attained for the set level, then the motor runs at a minimum speed — thus lowering electricity consumption and saving energy in the process,” the statement explains. “This efficient energy management system helps in keeping electricity bills in check, resulting in monetary savings.”
The noiseless cooling feature provides consistent cooling with lesser noise when compared to non-inverter air-conditioners.
This is possible as, in an inverter AC, the compressor motor does not turn on and off all the time but keeps working at a lower power level.
With quick cool, Oscar inverter ACs are able to cool the room much faster than traditional non-inverter models, the statement points out.
When switched on, the motor operates at a higher speed than non-inverter models to provide quick cooling and gradually diminishes its speed as it gets closer to the desired temperature.
