Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar, the famous Hindustani classical music vocalist of ‘Mewati Gharana’, is all set to regale music lovers in Doha on Friday, September 27. The concert will be held at Giwana Hall in Radisson Blu.
“This is Pandit Sanjeev’s second visit to Doha after his maiden visit in 2001 when he had performed at the same venue,” said Gopal Balasubramaniam, chief coordinator for Beats and Tunes Events that is organising the event.

Pandit Abhyankar has won the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer in 1999 for his song, ‘Suno Re Bhaila’, in the Hindi film ‘Godmother’, and also the Kumar Gandharva National Award 2008 from the Government of Madhya Pradesh for sustained excellence in the field of classical arts. (TNN)
