Police in Australia arrest two alleged terrorists with ‘IS’ flag

Australia’s police have been on high alert since a siege in Sydney in December

Australian counter-terrorism police have arrested two men in Sydney, saying that they were preparing an attack. A machete, a hunting knife, a homemade “Islamic State” flag, and a propaganda video were seized in the raid.

New South Wales Deputy Police Commissioner Catherine Burn told reporters on Wednesday that police arrested two men in a raid on property in a western suburb of Sydney on Tuesday.
“When we did the search of the premises, a number of items were located, including a machete, a hunting knife, a home-made flag representing the prescribed terrorist organization IS, and also a video which depicted a man talking about carrying out an attack,” Burn told reporters.
