HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani inaugurated Sunday Al Daayen Naval Base, the new building of the General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security, in Sumaysimah area in northern Qatar.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by a number of ministers, senior officials and ambassadors accredited to Qatar.
A documentary film shown on the occasion featured the stages of development of the General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security, its potentials, specialties, its role in securing maritime borders and preventing smuggling and illegal migration, its search and rescue operations, and other specialties.
