PM orders probe into projects after flooding
Heavy rain brings Qatar to a standstill; flooding leads to traffic jams; schools close early & commercial establishments shut
Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani ordered an investigation against all government and private bodies for flaws in projects that were exposed during the heavy downpour on Wednesday.
It was decided that on the directive of the PM, bodies and companies which executed the projects would not only be investigated but also brought before Public Prosecution, the Government Communication Office said.
