The annual report of the US State Department on international efforts to combat terrorism confirmed that Qatar and the United States continue to increase cooperation in the field of counter-terrorism, noting that Qatar continues to participate in the activities of the Terrorist Financing Center despite the repercussions of the Gulf crisis.
The report, which Al-Jazeera Net published excerpts of yesterday, stressed that the Gulf crisis had a negative impact on regional cooperation in the region.
In another context, the report pointed out that Saudi Arabia is still classified as a country of concern due to the suppression of freedoms and that international human rights and media groups affirm that the Kingdom has abused anti-terrorism laws.
