His Excellency said in a press conference held yesterday with His Excellency Mr. Hakan Fidan, Turkish Foreign Minister: “We are meeting today and there is a continuous deterioration and escalation in the pace of the conflict in the occupied Palestinian territories and Israel, and a continuation of the indiscriminate bombing of the Gaza Strip, and attempts to forcibly displace and displace its besieged people.”

His Excellency added: “In recent days, we have all witnessed the targeting and collective punishment of the Gaza Strip, where infrastructure and civilian objects, including schools, hospitals, and vital facilities, were targeted. His Excellency pointed out how the peoples of the region dealt with the crisis in Gaza and the targeting of civilians there, especially women and children, as the peoples of the region are very concerned about the responsibility of the international community for what is happening in the Gaza Strip.

In turn, His Excellency Mr. Hakan Fidan, Turkish Foreign Minister, appreciated the efforts of the State of Qatar and its constructive role in reducing the escalation. He also stressed that his country attaches great importance to the Qatari role regarding the hostage issue and their release.

In a related context, he praised Qatar’s very significant positive role with regard to the humanitarian situation in Gaza, stressing that these are efforts worthy of praise and appreciation.

His Excellency described his discussions in Qatar as constructive and useful, and said that they addressed developments in the situation in Gaza, in addition to discussing bilateral cooperation between the two countries, including holding the next meeting of the Supreme Strategic Committee in Doha.

He pointed out that what is happening now in the Gaza Strip in terms of Israeli brutality in front of the world was one of the most important issues he discussed with officials in Qatar, “where Israel targets defenseless civilians even in mosques and hospitals.”
