According the figures released by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics, Qatar reached its highest ever population which was approximately 2,637,000 in November. However, it saw a dip in December as most of the residents are away from the country.
As the residents start to return to the country after vacation the population is expected to beat the November figures. For the first time ever the population crossed 2.6bn mark in October 2016. The lowest population count stood at 2,326,000 in July 2016, as most of the people, especially expatriates went on vacation.
