QIC Insured, the personal division arm of Qatar Insurance (QIC), has installed a self-service kiosk for buying and renewing Third Party Liability (TPL) boat or yacht insurance for private and commercial use.
This is the first-of-its-kind in the field of boat and yacht insurance in Qatar.
Located at the ground floor level at the Ministry of Transport and Communications in the West Bay area, the self-service kiosk can be accessed during the working hours of the ministry from Sunday-Thursday.
The roll-out of the new interactive self-service kiosk forms part of QIC Insured’s strategy of complete digitalisation, offering an immersive digital experience for customers.
Besides emanating a modern and receptive look, the self-service kiosk is equipped to handle purchase or renewals of boat or yacht insurances with great convenience and ease.
Once purchased or renewed, the boat or yacht insurance policy will be emailed to the customer at the registered email address.
Customers will also receive a SMS with the link to their insurance policy.
Speaking about the new development, Fahad al-Suwaidi, Deputy CEO of QIC, stated: “As part of our expansion strategy, we’re delighted to install a self-service kiosk at such a strategic location in the state of Qatar. Clearly it highlights our customer-centric approach of moving closer to our customers to extend the same quality of products and services in a very simple & easy way.”
“I’m confident that with the support and encouragement of our customers, we will bolster our existing network by rolling-out similar kiosks to carve out a pan-Qatar presence, which is a result of our constant commitment to facilitate all customer transactions to meet all their needs from our various insurance coverages.”
