QSL: Al Ahli Beat Mesaimeer 2-0 , Confirm Stay in League
Doha, April 02 (QNA) – Al Ahli confirmed their place in next year’s QSL with a comfortable 2-0 win over already-relegated Mesaimeer at the match played this evening Grand Hamad Stadium.
Al Ahli moved up to ninth with this victory and eight points clear of second-bottom Qatar Sports Club. Mesaimeer have endured a miserable maiden season in the QSL. They’ve earned just five points from 24 games – a haul which includes just a single victory.
Mouhcine Iajour scored his fifth goal in eight games to put Ahli in front at Grand Hamad Stadium. The Moroccan twisted and turned in the penalty area before slotting the ball home in the 33rd minute.
