Qatar Airways Sponsors Save the Dream in New York
Qatar Airways was proud to sponsor an event organised by Save the Dream, which featured a day of sport activities held in Times Square, New York, on Tuesday. The event featured Olympic gold medalists, Para-athletes and international music stars; all united together to call for universal access to sport.
Save the Dream, an initiative of the International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) in partnership with the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), works to empower youth through sport towards a more fair and inclusive society, while promoting inter-cultural dialogue and social innovation through the power of its values.
Working with a team of Athlete Ambassadors, captained by soccer legend Alessandro Del Piero, Save the Dream brought an incredible day of sports to New York City, with the help of Qatar Airways. Throughout the day, hundreds of children participated in a variety of sports activities on a specially constructed soccer pitch built in the centre of Times Square.
