Ex-Arcandor boss sentenced to 3 years’ prison for fraud
A court in northwestern Germany has sentenced the former Arcandor CEO to three years in jail. Thomas Middelhoff was found guilty of 27 cases of embezzlement and three cases of tax evasion.
Thomas Middelhoff, the former CEO of the now-bankrupt German retailer Arcandor, was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment by the Essen District Court in northwestern Germany on Friday after been found guilty of 27 counts of embezzlement and three counts of tax evasion.
