As part of the Aspire Zone Foundation’s (AZF) National Day celebrations the skyline over Aspire Park would be dazzled with the country’s biggest skydiving performance. Qatar Army’s Parachute and Paramotor team would be main performer of the skydiving stunts in the event.
Hailed as one of the best in the world the team is scheduled to make their skydiving descent at the Park behind the lake near Al Furousiya Street tomorrow and on Thursday from 4pm to 5pm.
The event which is being organised by AZF would be graced by a number of high ranking officials from AZF and Qatar’s armed forces with their presence. The event is part of a wider programme organised by AZF for the entertainment of residents and families from December 14-19 to mark the country’s national day.
In addition to the Qatar Army Parachute and Paramotor team, a team from the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) will also participate in the event . Furthermore, Mawater Qatar is also put some of the most classic cars on display at the occasion.
Teams from Lekhwiya are scheduled to dazzle the audience with their unique and lively shows, which will be performed by their highly trained horses and police dogs from 3pm to 5pm. A variety of other horse formations, barrier jumps, as well as tent pegging, a sport of ancient origin, in which riders overcome an obstacle course while riding a horse and wielding a sword would also be performed for the entertainment of the audience.
Doing its part, Mawater Qatar will be displaying a wide range of classic cars for the local community and car enthusiasts in a fun, safe and family-oriented environment from December 15-17 opposite outdoor pitch 10, AZF added in a statement.
Aspire Park will also be decorated with dazzling and beautiful display of maroon LED flowers on the lake after sunset to complement the overall colourful decorations all over the park on the weekend.
Parallel to all these events, the AZF is also launching an Instagram completion from December 14-19, the aim of which will be to select the best National Day picture taken at the AZF events and facilities, the photos must be accompanied with the hashtag #AspireND2016.
The photo with the most number of likes will be declared as the winner and receiver awards worth up toQR100,000.
