Sweden whistles past Norway in ski team sprint

Sweden has achieved its first cross-country world cup victory thanks to duo Ida Ingemarsdotter and Stina Nilsson, who narrowly saw off their Norwegian rivals in the ladies team sprint in Otepaa, Estonia.

Ingemarsdotter and Nilsson, who have won six gold medals between them, clocked a time of 16:11.13 in Otepaa, taking the win by 0.8 seconds from the Norwegian duo Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg and Maiken Caspersen Falla.

This means Sweden claimed victory in the only ladies team event of the Cross Country World Cup.
