A teenager reportedly involved in causing death to five Filipinos expats has been sentenced to three years in jail.
The convicted 18-year-old driver had lost control over his car and smashed into the car that was parked on the airport highway.
The collision had resulted in death of five Filipinos and left others in the car injured, teenager had escaped with injuries. Enquiry into the incident had revealed he was over speeding and driving without proper driving license.
Court has now sentenced the young driver to three years in jail and ordered him to pay QR200,000 in blood money to each of the five victims’ families.
Court has also convicted him for driving without license and fined him for QR 1000.
