Three Umrah pilgrims killed in road accident

RIYADH: A return drive from Makkah to Riyadh after performing Umrah during the last leg of Ramadan became the last journey in the lives of three Asian workers, who met with a fatal road accident at Al-Humayat, around 400 km from the capital.

“Three Bangladeshi workers died in the accident,” the Bangladeshi Embassy confirmed on Tuesday. “They were coming back from Makkah after performing Umrah, when their car collided with another vehicle in the early hours on Friday at around 5 a.m.,” said an embassy official.

The official identified those killed as Nijamuddin, Masuk Mia and Moudud Ahmed Chowdhury.
