Tunis, April 20 – President of the Tunisian Republic, Beji Caid Essebsi, met here on Wednesday with HE Dr. Hamad bin Abdul Aziz Al-Kuwari, Advisor at the Emiri Diwan and Qatar’s Candidate to the Post of the Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) .
During the meeting, HE Dr. Al-Kuwari convoyed the greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the Tunisian President and HH best wishes of further progress and prosperity to the Tunisian people.
For his part, the Tunisian President entrusted HE Dr. Al Kuwari with his greetings to HH the Emir and wishes of good health and happiness and for the Qatari people further development and prosperity.
The Tunisian President welcomed the nomination of the State of Qatar of Dr. Al Kuwari for the post of UNESCO Director-General, stressing Tunisia’s support for this nomination.
