Two recruiting companies in Qatar shut down for breaking the law
The Recruitment Department at the Ministry of Administrative Development and Labor has permanently canceled the licenses for two recruitment agencies, Al-Fadeela and Al-Wafa, in the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to improve the performance and follow-up and control recruitment agencies.
The Department said in a statement Wednesday that the two agencies violated the fourth paragraph of Article (14) of the Ministerial Decree No. (8) of 2005 regulating the conditions and procedures for licensing recruiting workers from abroad for others.
The Department had already alerted the two agencies to bring them to adhere to the contracts signed with employers to recruit domestic workers, but the agencies did not comply.
The Minister’s approval is required to revoke the license of a manpower agency as in the case of issuance of a license.
The Department carries out periodic and unannounced inspection campaigns on domestic workers recruitment agencies.
And financial claims against the two agencies should be reported to the ministry within three months, the Peninsula added.
